12/12/16

On November 30, 2016, Ms Gavan's second and third grade students had the opportunity to compete in the Special Olympics at Hawkins High School in South Los Angeles.  After several intense rounds, Joyner won second place overall for the soccer competition.  Student exhibited incredible teamwork and spirit which helped lead them to victory.

We would like to give a special thanks to Coach Lydia and Ms. Gavan for all of their hard work over the last several months preparing students for the level of competition they faced.  In addition, we would like to thank Ms. Borgen, her fourth and fifth grade students, and Mrs. Sanchez for showing support and coming out to cheer for their fellow Joyner Champions.
